This book is about your all american christian family. They have been married for 21 years and have 3 kids.John is a football coach at his sons high school and Abby is a stay at home mom who writes reviews for magazines. They had a very strong marriage and family but it all falls apart when John starts an affair with another teacher at the Highschool. On the road to divorce their daughter announces she is getting married in 6 months on John and Abby's wedding anniversary. They are torn in two. They slowly go back to all the wonderful memories they once had and the love they once shared.Once they seek God the pieces slowly get put back together. This novel takes you right into the life of a family having marital problems and into their thoughts as it all unravels.

This book was great I couldn't put it down!I cannot wait for the opportunity to read another Karen Kingsbusry novel. The timeless love series is fabulous! This book really shows you how God can change your life for the better and teaches the power of forgiveness.I would defiantly recommend this book to family and friends.Once you start reading it you wont be able to put it down, I know I couldn't!

On this day in Christian History

On this Day in Christian history by Robert J. Morgan

This book is a devotional type book about all different types of people, from all walks of life. People who changed Christian History in all different ways. From Saints to flat out heroes, these peoples stories of their brave acts for the lord above get told.

The stories in this book were admirable and inspiring. Some I felt were horrifying. It really made me think about a lot of different things and just how brave these people were.I had a really hard time getting into this book though  because they were basically short stories followed by a bible scripture at the bottom of the page.It was neat but I am just not a person who can get into a book thats basically short stories.I would recommended this book to a college student studying religion more than anything.I just felt it was more of an educational book than lesiure reading more than anything.

This book was given to me through the blogger program on booksneeze.com

35 cloves of garlic

So I love Rachael Ray. I read her magazines religiously and her cookbooks. Recently stumbled upon one that caught my attention. It was just a regular chicken recipe, at least I thought it was til I noticed it called for 35 cloves of unpeeled garlic!!!! So I decided to give it a try and write down the recipe here for everyone else to try as well.

What you'll need:
 1 whole chicken
 1 lemon
 35 cloves of garlic(about 2 garlic bunches)
  1 sprig fresh rosemary
 crusty french bread

Preheat oven to 325. In large dutch oven, heat 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil over medium heat.Add the chicken, breast side down, and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Turn, then squeeze 2 halved lemons over the bird before stuffing into the cavity;drizzle 1 tablespoon olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper.Cover and roast for 30 minutes.Scatter 35 unpeeled garlic cloves and chopped rosemary around the chicken, cover and roast for 30 more minutes. Uncover pot, increase the oven temp to 375 and roast until the juices run clear when the chicken is poked with a knife, about 25 minutes.Transfer the chicken to a platter;using a slotted spoon, transfer the garlic to platter as well.Dip slices of crusty bread into the pan juices and toast  until crisp.Serve with chicken and roasted garlic.

My end result! It was sooooo good!!
